W.A. Criswell
W.A. Criswell was one of the most influential Southern Baptist pastors of the 20th century. Considered the father of modern conservatism in the SBC, he founded Criswell College and KCBI Radio. He preached biblical inerrancy at a time when many Baptist institutions were theologically moderate or liberal. During his 50-year tenure, First Baptist Dallas became the largest church in the Southern Baptist Convention. His and our favorite text is Isaiah 40:8.
